Pray and ask God where and how he would have you serve. Perhaps he is calling you to minister in jail. Or write letters of encouragement. Or be there when someone gets released. Or pray regularly for inmates.

Then act on faith. Contact us to set up a time when we can meet and talk with you about that. In the meantime, read our manuals, leader's guides, and fill out an application.

Upstate Jail Ministries depends on your ongoing financial support. We are not funded by the government, the state, or even the county. We are able to give away free Bibles to inmates because of your donations. We are able to provide food and shelter to men and women upon release because of your faithful giving. As missionaries to our local jails, we not only need your prayer support, but your financial contributions to sustain this ministry.

How do you feel when someone says to you "I’ve been praying for you this week"? Who prays for you? Inmates write prayer requests weekly and we need you to pray for them. Will you be a prayer warrior interceding on their behalf?

We also have a new prayer calendar every two months listing a specific prayer need each day.
